Southport FC to visit Spalding United for first time on Saturday
Southport FC will visit Spalding United for the first time on Saturday, September 5, when the National League North fixture kicks off at 3pm.
The match will be played at Spalding United’s Sir Halley Stewart Field in Spalding, Lincolnshire. It will be Southport’s third consecutive away game on an artificial surface, following visits to Hednesford Town and Scarborough Athletic.
Spalding’s opening six league matches have produced two wins, two draws and two defeats. That run includes a 1-1 draw away at South Shields on Monday, August 31.

Southport also hopes to provide full match commentary from the ground, depending on whether suitable facilities are available on the day.
