Static caravan totally destroyed after yesterdays fire in Compton Road, Southport
This is the scene today after the caravan fire in Compton Road yesterday. Luckily nobody was seriously injured and no other vans were damaged in the blaze.
The fire may have been caused by a candle but this has yet to be confirmed.
MFRS statement.
We currently have two fire engines in attendance at this incident. Crews were called shortly before 9.30am and on scene soon after.
On arrival crews found a static caravan involved in fire. All persons were out of the caravan prior to MFRS arriving.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are using two high pressure hose reel jets to tackle the fire.
