Stay Hydrated: Free Water Refills At Liverpool Stations Amidst Heatwave

train

Travelling in hot weather can be uncomfortable, especially at busier times. One of the best ways to stay comfortable is to keep hydrated.

We recommend bringing water with you when you travel. You can refill your bottle for free at Liverpool Central and Liverpool South Parkway stations. Water and soft drinks are also available at our Mtogo stores.

Our trains have climate control. This is not the same as air conditioning, but a system that helps keep the train from getting too hot or too cold as the temperature outside changes. It’s still a good idea to bring something to help keep you cool, such as a fan. If you start to feel unwell, please leave the train at the next staffed station or speak to the Train Manager so we can help.

Services can be busier when the sun’s out, particularly on the Southport line as passengers head to the beach. Please allow extra time for your journey.

Travel tips

Warmer weather is on the way. While sunny days can make travel busier and sometimes less comfortable, hot weather can also occasionally affect train services.

We’re working closely with Network Rail to get the railway ready and keep services running as smoothly as possible. You can find out more in the video below:
