Tunde Owolabi has put pen to paper and completed his move from Macclesfield to Southport.

Tunde is a striker with plenty of pace who was on Macclesfield’s books last season and after Macc failed to gain promotion last season, Tunde wanted the opportunity to play football at a higher level and we have been able to bring him to The Big Help Stadium.

Tunde, born in Nigeria, brings added experience to the front line. Prior to his 14 game spell at Macclesfield where he scored 9 times he had been playing in Ireland. His best season came in 2019-20 when he was with FC United scoring 35 goals and picking up the NPL Player Of The Year award.

We extend a very warm welcome to Southport to Tunde.
