Two Air Ambulances land on Bedford Park in Southport after emergency in Shaws Rd - Videos

Two North West Air Ambulances landed on Bedford park early this afternoon after a medical emergency in Shaws Road. Paramedics on the ground called for the Air Ambulance to attend the patient. The first helicopter to land was from Blackpool and the crew on board decided that a Doctor was needed to perform a procedure on the patient.

The second Air Ambulance came from Manchester with a Doctor. The Doctor and the patient were then transported to Aintree Hospital in a land ambulance.

The Air Ambulances then departed one to Blackpool and the other to Aintree to pick up the doctor.

The condition of the patient is not known.
