Two call outs for Southport Rescue

CALL OUT - 28/06/2024 - 09:13 - Our first tasking of the day arrived at 09:13 when our quads were tasked to assist in the search for a missing person in the region of Ainsdale.
As our quads commenced their search, they were stood down after the male was located by police.

CALL OUT - 28/06/2024 - 22:03 - Later that night, the quads were tasked again to reports of a person walking out towards the sea at Southport.

Southport Coastguard met with the first informant, who had visual contact with the beachgoer. The quad bikes entered the beach at Southport and quickly located the individual. It was soon ascertained that the person was taking photographs of the sunset and was not in need of assistance.
With that information, our quad bikes were stood down and returned to station.
