Volunteer Open Day Rescheduled at Woodlands Animal Sanctuary Due to Inclement Weather
Woodlands Animal Sanctuary would like to wish everyone a peaceful and healthy 2025.
The New year is starting as you would expect any rescue centre to start, packed to the seams with deserving rescues, welcoming enthusiastic support from volunteers, dedicated even when the weather decides to throw all its winteriness at them at once.
The Woodlands team are currently caring for over 60 animals, from guinea pigs, to cats, to hens to horses. Each animal with their own life changing story. Last year they welcomed over 220 animals through their doors.
The Volunteer Open Day they had planned for the 5th, has been rearranged due to the weather, to this Saturday 11th Jan, 1:30 – 3pm, at their site in Holmeswood. This is the perfect opportunity to meet the team and find out about the volunteer roles they have available. From weekly roles to ad hoc fundraising roles there is something for everybody, if you are looking to donate some of your time & energy to make a difference in your local area.
They are also back up and running with Tea & Tours, with dates available most months throughout the year, the next one being 18th January. This is a lovely way to meet the animals at Woodlands, learn more about what the team do and how they make a difference to animals lives, in a much more intimate way than during an open day. You will also be able to enjoy a cream tea and cakes during your visit. Places are limited, so grab some of your loved ones and get booked in.
And not forgetting, 2025 is the year Woodlands Animal Sanctuary turns 20 years old! 20 years of making a difference to animals lives, giving them hope in their darkest hours and the chance of a happy ever after. So why not celebrate with them and say ‘Cheers to 20 years’ at their birthday party on 1st March, at The Grand Hotel in Southport. Tickets include a three-course meal, live band and DJ. £47 per person and can be booked from the charity’s website> https://www.tickettailor.com/events/woodlandsanimalsanctuary/1312742
