Fire breaks out at old Grand Casino Lord Street Southport

Merseyside Fire And Rescue Service were called to the site of the old Grand Casino at 4.15 this morning after a fire was reported. 

The fire was at the rear of the building and two appliances are at the scene.

The building is being renovated at the moment and will be a hotel and leisure complex.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

It is not known how the fire started at the moment.
