Local NHS wants your views at public meetings to help shape future urgent and emergency care services in Southport, Formby and West Lancashire

The NHS in Southport, Formby and West Lancashire is holding a series of public meetings to hear your views on reshaping local urgent and emergency care.

The meetings are part of the Shaping Care Together programme, which aims to deliver safe and excellent care for everyone, all day, every day, today and in the future.

At the meetings, which are being held in Ormskirk, Southport, Formby, Banks and online, NHS leaders will outline the programme’s ambitions, update on its progress so far and take questions from members of the public.

Rob Cooper, Managing Director at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “It’s really important that we see and hear the views of as many local people as possible as we look to develop services that are fit for the future.

“No decisions have been made about the future shape of services and all options remain on the table.

“Hearing a range of views through our survey, and our public events, helps us better understand the needs and experiences of the people who use and rely on our services. The feedback we gather will greatly help develop options for how to organise services in our area.”

The following public meetings are open to anyone to attend:

Tuesday, 10th September: Christ Church, Aughton: 5.30-7pm.
Wednesday, 18th September: Community Church Family Life Centre, Southport, 5.30-7pm.

Monday, 30th September: Holy Trinity Church Parish Hall, Formby, 5.30-7pm.
