The nights are drawing out and the sky seems to be a little bluer, spring is around the corner and Easter is too!  Woodlands Animal Sanctuary are preparing for their first of only 2 open days they are holding on their site in Holmeswood this year.  Put 19th April in your diary for their Easer Open Day.  And in the run up to this event, the team are asking if you have any unwanted teddy bears, or gifts, (smellies, bottles, small ornaments etc), unopened and undamaged, you would be willing to donate to them for this event.  Their teddy tombola is always very popular, and donations of tombola gifts are very much appreciated.

The local animal charity are asking, if you are in a position to, to please buy an extra Easter Egg this year, or box of chocolates, and donate it to them, for prizes on the day of their Easter event.

If you have any unwanted cuddly toys, who are ready offer joy to a new family, then please give them a wash and drop them in with the team at Holmeswood, so they can be a part of the popular teddy tombola, bringing joy to a new family and sanctuary to an animal in need.

The team are currently caring for over 50 animals, a large proportion of which are needing more intensive care, medications, specialist food and veterinary care, on top of the routine care that the charity provides and events like their Easter Open day fund.
